Are you planning an arts or cultural event in Harrison County for the second half of 2026? The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County is thrilled to announce that applications for our Community Arts Project (CAPS) Grants – Round 2 are open!

We believe that art and culture are the heartbeat of our community. These grants are designed to provide the spark needed to launch new projects or expand existing ones that encourage cultural awareness and support our local arts organizations.

The Details:

  • Grant Amount: Up to $1,000 per project.
  • Project Window: These grants are specifically for events and activities occurring between July and December 2026.
  • Deadline: Applications must be postmarked or submitted by May 15, 2026.

What kind of projects are we looking for?

We are looking for initiatives that promote the study of art, preserve cultural resources, or further the appreciation of the arts in our county.

Past recipients have used these funds for:

  • Public artwork and community beautification.
  • Theatrical and musical productions.
  • Museum field trips and public exhibitions.
  • Historic property maintenance and documentary projects.

Eligibility Quick Facts:

  • Applicants must be focused on serving Harrison County residents.
  • You must not have received grant funds in the previous granting period (limit of one grant per 12-month period).
  • Projects must be completed by December 31, 2026.
